Didn't expect this to have so much comedy but I thought it worked pretty good. Too bad the story felt a little stale. Captain Marvel, as a character, has so much more to offer and I feel Larson only got the most basic bits out there; and I don't blame her personally for that, this film is really clunky. For the first hour or so it's really struggling to decide what story it wants to tell and eventually it wants to do so many different things, it doesn't have enough time to put the focus on one specific thing. Once again, less would've been so much more but then again that's with nearly all of these films. At least Sam Jackson and Brie Larson give us more proof of what an absolute power-couple they are.
