Such a quietly sad and beautiful poem of a film. Shot in black and white and in Super 16mm Yen Tan’s 1985 is one of the most touching and devasting portraits of the gay experience in Reagan’s America, a time when large numbers of gay men were unnecessarily lost and who can only be remembered by those they left behind. Tan’s film is a beautiful love letter to a generation of fathers, brothers and sons whose lives  were unfairly cut…

    Love, Simon

Harmless, relatable and accessible. It’s no CMBYN or CAROL but it is a nice little  film but nothing,  I haven’t seen before and done much better , THEY WAY HE LOOKS comes to mind. Maybe I am heartless and a snob.
