    15 year old me probably would have called this the single most incredible piece of television ever made. However current me is a little more wary of Will Sharpe who's hyper over-direction waffles between absolutely brilliant and then tediously pompous. Overall though I think the subject matter here suits him rather well, the couples love of old Hollywood movies giving a great template for unique visuals and storytelling.

    It was halfway through when I realized why "take climate change, swap in comet" doesn't work as a satirical metaphor. A comet apocalypse is exciting. It's cinematic and active and quick. It's also preventable. With enough singular country's resources it is theoretically possible to destory or divert a comet.
