Every character in this is dumb as a bag of rocks, but it's so well done on the whole you just laugh at every boneheaded choice they make to break a bit of the tension, which is really well crafted.
Genuinely funny, which horror can always use more of, especially lately. Some very solid scares, even if you can see many of them coming, because it's all so taught, and I have to respect that. Not afraid to get very gross at points, and definitely the most effective "don't keep going further into the world's creepiest basement, you morons!" exercise I've seen in ages.
This was very fun with a crowd, so go in blind if you can. A great start to the best season of the year, Halloween horror time. Ends on an all timer needle drop cut to credits.
