Yeah if you weren't casually staring up at the sky for the next week after watching this for the first time then dude you lying ๐โ๏ธ It's so thought-provoking in its own unique little way. Also I'm a tad obsessed with the poster of them all looking up in fear. It's so simple yet so damn effective.
As I previously mentioned in my review, I knew I'd bump this rating up after a rewatch at home. Sometimes films can be better digested off the big screen than on, despite NOPE having that big screen feeling, it's pacing can really halt you at times. But I didn't feel that at all here. Feel free to read my review in full here: NOPE
I don't know about you, but since I'm rather impervious to scares being a hardcore horror fan and all, but hearing those horrible screams of innocent people inside that fucking thing combined with its amazing sound design and haunting presence, genuinely gives me a rather unsettling feeling. A feeling I want to experience more of in new horror. Then suddenly the screams stop... And the horrific blood rain falls... Yeah that image above the house is deeply ingrained in my brain forever now. โ๏ธ๐ธ๐ฉธSo many goosebumps.
Jordan Peele can't be stopped.
