In a literal sense, Ulysse is a reflexive piece with Varda looking back at her early work, the people and attitudes of that time, extrapolating from this photograph of Ulysse, a man and a dead goat. However, on a deeper level this is Varda's manifesto towards art, showing it's timeless quality despite the changing of fashions, culture and politics.

A true psychedelic journey, the finale to NGE is altogether an absurd, disorientating and bleak trip that I can't stop thinking and theorising about.

I don't understand all of the metaphors and imagery but I enjoyed every second of it.
