Never before have I wanted all of mankind to be wiped out as much as I did whilst watching War for the Planet of the Apes.
And that's not just because the douchebag behind me in the theatre was talking throughout the movie, it was because War absolutely nailed it in terms of sheer emotion.
Andy Serkis' performance is amazing, and I can only hope that one day an honorary Oscar for work in motion capture will be made for him.
The opening act is pretty perfect, but as time goes on you realise that this film is a whole lot quieter than you thought it was going to be.
This isn't necessarily a terrible thing, but it did throw me a little bit that the conclusion was more The Great Escape than it was the all out warfare the title promised.
I can't jump on this movie as much as I did Rise and Dawn, but it is still very good work from Reeves and Serkis, and a solid ending to a wonderful trilogy.
