Libby Caldwell’s review published on Letterboxd:
This finally came out here and I was so excited to see it. The cinematography and acting was amazing and I genuinely can’t believe there were no sound nominations for it at the Oscars.
The way time passes in this film is so crazy, you feel like it’s all blending together and have no idea how much has passed, just like the characters.
This might seem like a weird comparison but some aspects of this reminded me of Lord of the Flies, I think I might be the only one to think that though lol.
This is also only the second movie ever to make me feel genuinely concerned about throwing up.
As much as I enjoyed it, I really don’t think it’ll hold up on a rewatch, especially out of the cinema, but it’s a very high 4 from me.
