ok i just want to say i am so very in love with this movie. i thought having read the book would cost how good the film will be but todd haynes didn't fans of POS down.
it's electrifying. a favorite scene is the tunnel scene which, when i had read passively while reading the book. haynes turned it into a declaration of adoration in the eyes of therese, concentrating on the tiny details of carol's features, the rest drowning out. like you're underwater. like you're in a trance. it's magnetic and endearing and you can feel the love therese has for carol and vice versa.
it's ELECTRIFYING. even if they were just batting their lashes at each other and flirting blatantly. it's really electrifying.
lighting is really bad, though, however i think it's the copy that i watched.
overall IM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS MOVIE I CANT EVEN TALK ABOUT IT BUT IM STILL CYRING
