    The culmination of the entire series and the best of the Rebuilds. I don't think the Eva Rebuilds ever justified themselves until this one.

    Evangelion is at its best when it's not focusing on the big spectacles too much and this is probably the best example of that amongst the Rebuilds. The village scenes in the first act are undoubtedly the most original the franchise has been since The End of Evangelion.

    I can't help myself but rewatch this whenever I'm in the mood, which is much too often. This film never fails to lift my spirits. There is so much warmth to this film, and I'll never get tired of Gerwig's screenplay. The chemistry between the cast is intoxicating and each performance is wonderful, though Emma Watson's accent doesn't quite hit the mark. It's one of my favourites, and I can't wait to watch this for the rest of my life.

    Honestly a little disappointed by this; it's much too aimless and meandering. Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim's characters are fantastic but their relationship lacks emotional weight and chemistry so it's difficult to care for them.
