First time watch on the big screen for me so it felt like watching the film for the first time. Interesting how the motorized handcar sequence with that steady beat really stood out as the highlight for me. The hypnotic use of the mechanical clanking of the train accentuated with an ambient score by Eduard Artemyev really drew me in as if I was entering the "zone" with the characters. Love these bold moves by Tarkovsky.
Watched at Braindead Studios on Fairfax... former home of the Silent Movie Theater and Cinefamily.
