Sean Baker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Great debut that made the absolute most of its tiny budget. Engaging concept, great performances and very inventive camera work. The long one takes (some that are seamlessly CGI patched) are so impressive.
Has a real transformative quality. I felt I was in this small New Mexico town in the middle of the night in the late 50's. And color timing is very interesting. Almost looks like fogged film.
Looking forward to what these filmmakers do next.
