  That last scene has me in shambles every time.

  It was interesting to rewatch this while I'm also rereading Lolita, because I think there are a lot of similarities between the characters of Laura Palmer and Dolores Haze. But, that's a whole essay I don't care to write right now. One of my favorite films, for sure.

  Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 2023

  Martin Scorcese was so right when he said Marvel doesn't make films, they make amusement park rides. It's so obvious that the sole purpose of Ant Man: Quantumania, and of the majority of its MCU predecessors, is to thrill and entertain the viewer just enough that they get back on the ride for another spin the next time they release a movie. To be fair, I'm as guilty of occupying my seat on the ride as anyone else.
