Good Lord I don't think this film could've been anymore wildly offensive. My friend put it in perspective in the best way by pointing out that this film was made the same year as Jennifer's Body. Two lesbian horror comedies, both about ancient demonic possession of lesbians and acknowledgment of the predatory stereotypes intertwined with lesbianism and vampires/cannibals in media. Big fan of the Phoebe Waller-Bridge-ification of the spy genre is my favorite trend.
Also the locations in this film were fucking incredible??? It had all the suave and action in ways I felt more connected to and pulled by than past films something about it really got me. I really wanted more Ana De Armes... absolutely rabid and feral for that woman.... same with Lashana Lynch... and PADDINGTON FUCKING BEAR BEN WINSHAW MY BELOVED ANGEL IN HIS JAMAS WITH…
Great movie to watch if you fucking hate yourself.
