Spellbounding. A brilliant deconstruction on the Arthurian legend -- the hero's journey, its prevalent machoism, and its classic themes of morality. It's a medieval coming-of-age story about honor, chivalry, and learning how to become a better person for real, all told in the most abstract way possible. It's hauntingly beautiful from start to finish. Dev Patel delivered one of the finest performances this year and David Lowery's vision was simply poetic and breathtaking.
