The first act already discouraged me, it seemed like the story wasn't developing and what happens (the couple meeting and falling in love) is done in a rushed and low-impact way. Then a love triangle is formed (which would work great in a soap opera or a better structured film), but it doesn't help to improve, because even though the main couple had to face several obstacles, I didn't feel empathy, since they didn't have a worthy development. The editing of this film is quite interesting, even though it is a traditional slasher and has predictable moments, they did it in a creative way, interspersing chase scenes with something else that happened at the same time and not showing the killer's fatal blow to the victims, instead, they cut to the next scene in a way that still connects to the death that just happened. I remember Scorsese saying that Marvel movies are not cinema and, on the one hand, I even understand his opinion. But having this experience of seeing a movie where people scream, applaud, cry... it's priceless, for me, this is cinema. My experience improved on this second watch, even though I gave it less than 24 hours of rest (I was really bothered that I didn't like it so much). I still think that the script has certain problems and conveniences. But I intend to keep rewatching it, because it's a very enjoyable movie.
