This was not at all what I expected. Much more artsy and expiremental. The characters were all well developed and interesting, and their relationships both warmed my heart and broke them. Chiron baby,,,I love you.
I liked how the story pointed out the strict and confining behavior of the black community. I’m part black, don’t freak out. There’s a big deal made about being black/manly/hood enough for black men and that forced stereotype ultimately breaks them mentally.…

Summer 100: #23
The epitome of cherry emoji twitter and 90s teen drama aesthetics. I liked the aesthetic and look of this movie a lot, although the story did get a bit confusing and jumbled sometimes. I love this film; the soundtrack, the cinematography, the intense forbidden erotic drama, I LOVE IT! My only complaint would be that motivations and plotlines got confusing at times, but everything else was pretty on point. The ending had me speechless.

I wanted to leave this as a joke review but the idea of that makes me nervous so here. Beautifully made and written, the twists had me screaming and I literally felt addicted to this film. Christopher Nolan is a genius (as we all know) and wow I LOVE talent! The cast did amazing as well. This is a great film and it deserves the world. -

Wasn’t completely crazy about it in the beginning but I liked it, and then the last 30 minutes hit and I fell in love! This reminds me of a lot of my friendships and I love the female solidarity shown through the film. Not the funniest ever at some points and kind of predictable but still a lot lot lot of fun.
