Yeah, this is one of my all time favorite films.
This was brutal and darkly beautiful; a powerful musing on brotherhood, the horrors of war. I went in expecting a Dunkirk rip-off but got something substantive and so gripping.
I mean it when I say I’m at a loss for words. This film was so beautiful even at its most violent. Some shots were breathtaking. The faint glimmers of heart and love through bloodshed were comforting and enhanced the narrative in a warm way.
God I really don’t have the words. This film was an absolute masterwork.
