  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022

  Thematically incoherent, periodically entertaining and heartfelt.
  I loved Okoye and Anika, I loved Shuri, I didn't love that this movie insists on parading around Martin Freeman as the one nice CIA man. No amount of colonizer jokes make that bit work.
  Tenoch Huerta as Namor is endlessly magnetic, I wish his motivations made any sense. Instead it's the thing that most marvel properties have been doing lately where the villains say things that are generally true and make sense but then they insist on doing murder so we can't agree with them 'too much.'
  Also why did the aspect ratio keep changing??????

  Listen I'm not sure if these movies are good or if they're just doing a really good take on stressed out post-apocalyptic attractive dads. Which is you know...my jam.
  But Djimon Hounsou deserved better

  Nothing could have prepared me for the experience of this movie. Not a lick of subtlety to be found and I loved it. Also I cannot stress enough a man punches a tiger in this movie

  Y'all...I did not like this movie at all. I'm still struggling to parse if I think it was a bad movie but I definitely didn't like it. While the filmmaking style is virtuosic as always, half the tricks on display I had seen before in Sense8 and then there's the muddled messaging that asks the audience to empathize with an abused woman and her abusers which is truly baffling.
