In the words of that one tik tok where Marge Simpson does The Godfather monologue: “Look at how they massacred my boy!” I took me like a year to finish the book and I finally finished it when I was in the hospital so it’s fresh on my mind. It’s truly an absolutely incredible novel. This is truly one of the worst adaptations of a novel I’ve ever seen. Like the things they changed they cut are insane?!?! Why did they do a non linear storyline?!? It does work that way! The editing is absolutely awful! The choices of this are insane and bad! The whole point is he has insane mommy issues and the mom should be haunting the film yet like absolutely cut out of it so there’s no emotional core. Nothing makes sense and there’s no emotional core! There are like good performance but oh my god Ans*l is such an awful actor in this like so awful terrible. God this movie made me so angry like so angry.
