The Worst Person in the World spoke to me in a really specific way. It's a film that spoke to feelings and thoughts I have and still have ever presently in my life. It's a really well made movie, with some really creative direction choices and its a very enjoyable film from its pace and comedy, but the thing that made me fall in love with this movie is how it understands the coming of age experience.

Mass can't really be explained or discussed. It is a heavy one location drama, that's essentially a conversation around a table with 4 characters dealing with this tragedy. It's presented simply, but the subject matter and script is anything but. It's messy and upsetting, but deeply understanding and carried by its script and the 4 main performances that are all so perfect and essential. It's a tough watch but executed with such precision and empathy.

This film has a really interesting premise. It's a mystery film but where James McAvoy hasn't been given a script and is improvising the whole thing. The idea being that he is learning about this mystery and figuring it out as we the audience are figuring it out.

Because of this however, characters just have to delivery this obvious exposition to explain the plot to James McAvoy and he's learning it. Sometimes it just seems strange and off, and breaks…

La La Land was my favourite movie, but that movie is nothing to me now. That is is the past. John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch is my identity now. It's my Halloween costume, my birthday theme, my thermos, it will be my favourite movie forever
