An amazing film truly. No one person was in the right besides the innocent beings of the child and the senior. Going to any extent for family is one of the most impactful aspects you can add to any plot, and in this movie, it capitalized it perfectly. Tense, sad, and desperate, A Separation is a heavy-hitting film that showcases the sinful nature of middle aged humans and the tragedy that ensues when we separate ourselves from God.

A Time for Drunken Horses 2000
A Time for Drunken Horses is a raw, authentic, and deep film. On the basis on ranking it amongst other films, it struggles due to it having no real cast and a below average lead act. The script is not well made, but you can tell the story is one that the writer and director is passionate about. That's where this film gets its magic: the heart that it was made with. Personal, true, and real is what A Time for Drunken Horses is to director Bahman Ghobadi. The cinematography was my favorite part and a true highlight on this film, as well.
