Lois Duncan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don't know why, but this movie gave me major Inglourious Basterds vibes as well as Wes Anderson vibes. Weird. It was so good though. I didn't know how I would feel about the movie, considering the subject matter but it worked and I think the majority of that is a credit to some amazing directing on Taika Waititi's part. The performances were excellent, with even the youngest members of the cast being absolutely extraordinary. The cinematography was beautiful and wasn't overdone. I also really liked that many of the songs were in German, particularly I Want To Hold Your Hand. Good stuff.
