Bong Joon Ho is slowly becoming one of my favourite directors. Kang Ho Song is becoming one of my favourite actors.
This film, much like Parasite, has a unique blend of genre crafted and weaved into one perfectly executed movie. The film obviously centres on the hunt for a serial killer but there are laughs aplenty along the way which are then offset with tense moments and then more delicate moments. The film really drags you into the desperacy of finding the killer at all costs whilst also highlighting the disparity in resources between the Korean police and that of it's Western counterparts. I could go on all day- but this was a superbly simple yet expertly constructed movie. Loved every second.
