I love the Cube movies. They have this weird mystery that at the end of each leaves you filled with more questions, but oddly satisfied. Unfortunately, Hypercube doesn't really live up to the first, in my opinion. Cast is good and the overall story and its mysteries are good. I just don't like this maze. Sure, bending reality, space and time is cool, but I liked the more down to earth approach that the original had. Plus the traps are kind of weak to non-existent here. I'd say this leans further into scifi than horror.
