From start to finish Burning was an absolutely spellbinding film filled with the most ravishing and raw cinematography capturing both the heartfelt and heart wrenching moments. Real privilege to experience at a private exhibitor’s screening. In a way I’d place Burning on the same wavelength as a seemingly Linklater-esque film with trickle of ‘Loveless’s inherent brooding nature (Andrei Zyvanigstev), which unfolds into a Gillian Finn story rather unexpectedly. Overall; an incredible watch that never loses its edge whilst it’s edge is almost entirely laid back.
