    TCM aired what seemed like a second gen, scanned DVD copy and yet still enjoyable. Franchot just gets his ass kicked the entire time, but while exchanging some of noir’s best barbs with everyone from crooks to diner waitresses. Maybe the most serrating noir dialogue ever filmed?
