two stray thoughts from the screening at MOMI with laurie anderson in conversation with field, blanchett and nina hoss:
-todd field and the editor did all the foley themselves?? just out on the town in scotland??? the sound design of this thing rips (there is also a really tremendous visual language to match it)
- the largely boomer audience at the member screening absolutely was like “hell yeah tar” when she told off those dang snowflakes and then became immediately silent for the rest of the film. lol. lmao. i can't get over how well that opening NYer segment totally nails it
