Absolutely amazing. Young Spike Lee goes grander on this one (drives harder than his already highly cool prior feature works She's Gotta Have It and School Daze), and makes a truly deserved classic.
Although film, especially the 'political film', can seem small in comparison to actual politics, I absolutely believe in the importance of art that reflects - and Do the Right Thing represents from a real, emotional place that is more than welcome to the conversations of racial politics and human rights.
Also, some of the most iconic opening credits I've ever seen.
