Do the Right Thing

Those dutch angles.

Absolutely amazing. Young Spike Lee goes grander on this one (drives harder than his already highly cool prior feature works She's Gotta Have It and School Daze), and makes a truly deserved classic.
Although film, especially the 'political film', can seem small in comparison to actual politics, I absolutely believe in the importance of art that reflects - and Do the Right Thing represents from a real, emotional place that is more than welcome to the conversations of racial politics and human rights.

Also, some of the most iconic opening credits I've ever seen.
