If they never do another entry into this series, I'd be perfectly happy with this honest and satisfying final chapter to the 'Before' series. Not all is great in paradise as our fearless couple is faced with middle age and the not-so-fun issues that come along with aging and trying to keep a relationship alive.
The film really comes alive in it's last half. When we hit the hotel scene and an unfortunate argument begins...man, things really come alive. I would go as far as saying that this entry into the series (and the series as a whole) is the most realistic depiction of what it's like to be in a real relationship that's ever been depicted on film. Fuck the romantic comedies that are churned out on a weekly basis...THIS feel real and genuine. We need more cinema that actually dwells somewhere near reality when it comes to this topic.
I know I may be getting greedy here...but PLEASE Richard Linklater...make a few more of these. I'd love for this to be a once-a-decade thing. It's become apparent than ever that I could watch Celine and Jessie for an infinite amount of time and remain enthralled.
