Brimming with Michael Mann's usual style of filmmaking, Manhunter is a fascinating film with great performances, excellent cinematography and a stellar soundtrack. How does this compares to the other Hannibal Lector films? I've only seen The Silence of the Lambs so I can't comment on the others but, I prefer Hopkins's portrayal of Hannibal personally. Not taking anything away from Manhunter though, it's pretty great. My favorite by Michael Mann always will be Heat no doubt but, this film is incredible nonetheless.
