2021’s 124th movie • 86/100
There’s a reason why the character King Kong is one of the most memorable ones in the history of entertainment – it’s because he has always been extremely iconic and a pioneer when it comes to blockbuster movies. It’s impossible not to love or to not have empathy for him. He may be a huge and strong animal, but that doesn’t mean he’s evil or anything like that.
King Kong is an in-depth look at how coward, weak and irrational human beings can be, especially when they feel superior to others. It is a reflection of how we think power is everything and how we can do anything for it, including hurting and take advantage of what and who we should, in fact, respect. The consequence?! Well, watch this movie.
