The last thing I imagined is that this film was going to bring tears to my eyes. I'm speechless. A pure masterpiece.

Columbus 2017
I guess the first time I watched this I was not in the right mood, actually I fell asleep.
With my second viewing and paying attention to the direction, acting, script, cinematography, every shot and every sound and most importantly the feelings and emotions it provoked on me, I can say now that this is probably a masterpiece, one of the most beautiful films from the last year and probably the best.

MY 3000TH FILM!!!!!!!
One of the most depressing films I've ever seen. Despair at its finest. Nowhere to go. Stuck in the mud. In the agony and desire of escaping from your town, your parents, your bad decisions, bad friends. We've all been there. I've been there. I'm still there some days.
4 hours of dialogue that are completely necessary, the runtime is totally necessary. You can't just pack this amount of suffering in just one hour and say it all.
Hu Bo did something great here, an accomplishment in filmmaking and storytelling. A missed soul.
