Luis Figueroa Caunedo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Recreation scenes were dope, but the story with rose the hat lady was truly lacking soul. It was entirely predictable and felt unoriginal. However, this film still manages to explore ideas that in some ways enhances the lore and understanding of how the shine works in Kubrick’s predecessor. As always, Ewan gives an impressive performance. Although this film in no way taints Kubrick’s original visión, I don’t know if it was really necessary.
