Brilliant film, Bong Joon-Ho has truly created a fantastic piece of cinema. Every element of this film is masterful, from the sound to the visuals to the acting, everything.
I personally found the contrasting perspectives of the families to be particularly poignant. Overall the film is very clever in the way it’s told and unfolds, which was something I throughly enjoyed experiencing.
My only issue was that I went in with unrealistically high expectations (due to the massive hype surrounding the film) and couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed when they weren’t met. This can’t really be held against the film though, just something I thought I’d mention.
Definitely go into this film blind but don’t make the same mistake I did with built up expectations.
