The 15:17 to Paris ★½

Clint Eastwood’s latest features the true life events surrounding three young American heroes who stopped a live gunman while on board a speed train heading to Paris...the actual heroes playing themselves. While Eastwood’s attempt to put ordinary heroes in an extraordinary situation is noble and well intentioned, the outcome is a riveting five minute climax with 1.5 hours of underdeveloped filler, a week script, and mediocre acting. Probably would have been better served as a docu-drama instead of a feature length film. Sadly this may be remembered as one of his worst films.
