I have seen so many people log this one in the past week I thought why not give it a go. It was a great watch and is one of the many reasons why Scorcese is so much more than a mob film director. That is the kind of thing you see thrown around so often but he's one of the best of all time.
This story is an example of why you should never leave your house after 11. This guy had the night from hell. At first, I was wondering how on earth could things go wrong. He's got the girl and he's in her apartment. He's gonna get some. Well, that wasn't the case. Almost everything imaginable went wrong for Paul. He's a nice guy and definitely did not desrve any of it.
Despite all of that I couldn't help but laugh as each thing continued to go wrong for him. Whether it is him constantly making the wrong choices or saying the wrong thing it was so damn funny. At the end of the day, all the poor guy wanted to do was go home. He got so close but yet so far on so many occasions I lost count.
This isn't my favourite Scorcese film but it is a great film for sure.
