Luke Shea’s review published on Letterboxd:
An absolutely wonderful, absolutely bonkers angle on a classic formula. Somehow the most grounded and strangest of the Godzillas I have seen (roughly a third at time of writing). Makes the direness and impossibility of managing global catastrophe immediate and tangible by swinging breakneck though an exausting hall of beurocratic mirrors, the salvation of humanity hanging by fingernails to the few aspiring megalomaniacs who deign to wrap a code of honor around their all consuming ambition.
One of the greatest if not the all time top godzilla designs. Some slightly shaky fx work in places, but I couldn't be bothered by that because I loved everything else so much. Strange, great movie.
