You can hear John Murphy working out what would later become "Adagio in D Minor," through his work in this score. Exquisite.

Hm. I would have handled differently.

    Glass Onion

Some references may have gone over my head, but the film elicited a chuckle or two out of me. Sublime orechestrations. I enjoyed seeing my dear late friend Stephen make an appearance. How do I get involved with the next one? Blanc v. Tár, perhaps....

    Top Gun: Maverick

I am sick enough that I was convinced to pass time with the background noise "Top Gun: Maverick," and as if Hans Zimmer wasn't enough of a two-bit hack, he has now (twice by my count) recycled Adagio in D minor, passing it off as his own piece for the emotional climax of a film. John Murphy's Sunshine score (which I find sublime in its simplicity) has been reused countless times, often for marketing, over the years, but to supplement your own score with Murphy's work to incite pathos? For shame, Hans. I deign to call you Maestro.
