I love Peanuts, I love Halloween, I love this. So relatable, so timeless. If you don't fuck with Chuck, you're a blockhead and I hope you get a rock in your sack.

This BBC Halloween "prank" broadcast of a live ghost hunt inspired by the real life Enfield Poltergeist case apparently fooled a ton of terrified Brits, and it's no wonder. With only a scant few moments that push suspension of disbelief to the brink (the over-the-top ending especially), this feels so real that it's genuinely frightening at times. I love the handling of Pipes and the little easter eggs you find on repeat viewings. A remarkable work that should be studied by any asshole working on a found footage- style movie or mockumentary.

Cute little adaptation of the Devil and Daniel Webster from Canadian studio Nelvana. This would would end up being a sort of practice run for the 1981 animated feature Rock n Rule. I love the animation style; so fluid, so much character (especially Beelzebub). The songs (penned by the Lovin' Spoonful's John Sebastian) are pretty catchy, though late 70's pop music isn't normally my thing. Definitely worth a look!

I like this movie more with each subsequent viewing. Just such a fun movie rich with the Halloween spirit. Young Levar Burton is so horny in this! Honestly, this is pretty horny overall for a TV movie. Great makeup fx and soundtrack, a fun cast with lots of chemistry, spot on Halloween vibes, you can't go wrong with this one. It's on YouTube, too!
