Molly MoMo’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’ve only seen it once before, but since then, I’ve always had fond memories of this film. Even now, I’m not sure why I like it so much. It’s bleak and insipid, but I mean that in the best way possible. Maybe it’s because of my love of folk music? Or maybe it’s because although Llewyn doesn’t have a happy ending, nor does he really grow throughout the film, as he makes the same mistakes at the end of the film as he does in the beginning, he has the same endearing qualities as the lost cat that he spends much of the film chasing after. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll eventually figure it out after another rewatch or two.
