it looks like all of my reviews for wes anderson’s films are going to say basically the same thing, but here it goes anyway! his films are absolutely beautiful, and i always love the cast, especially in this film! the stories in his films are... mediocre at best to me? :\ i try to enjoy them but i usually don’t connect with it or any of the characters. i enjoyed the story in this one more than the others i’ve seen, but this one also had too much going on in my opinion. the main story was crazy enough, but then they had two separate narration parts as well, with the old and young author, which only made it more chaotic. i see why people like them, i’m just thinking they’re not for me personally.
