A cute love story with interesting angles, subtle humor, great music, and better outfits.

This movie got a lot of criticism but for me, I enjoyed the visual aspects and effects. A lot of beautiful shots, and I appreciated the way they really took their time with the day to day. Didn’t love that it felt like they ripped off the Māori or that the wife was portrayed as whiny and stubborn, but I did appreciate her fierce maternal instinct.

Interesting to monitor my feelings toward Tár progress throughout the movie. 
Started with admiration, which slowly turned to being appalled by the gaslighting, manipulation, sneaking, and lying. By the time we reached the end of the movie, I felt only pity. 
I did love the in-depth music exploration and experience. It made me crave playing the cello again and participating in an orchestra. I liked that because they used accurate music terms, you didn’t always understand what they were saying. I had no idea about the politics within the music world.
