WandaVision

WandaVision ★★★★½

But what is grief, if not love persevering?

Holy. Freaking. Crud. I tend not to review TV shows on here, but I had to make an exception for WandaVision. Marvel has really outdone themselves with this one.

I adored everything about this series — the perfect concept, strong plot line, subtle hints and references to other iconic shows and movies, excellent aesthetics and most importantly, the designs of each decade. The casting is perfection — Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany nailed this — and the character development, throughout the series and from previous films in the timeline, was incredible, especially with Wanda herself. The Evan Peters Quicksilver appearance was also an extremely welcome addition ( I really hope that goes somewhere, but based upon the ‘revelation’ within episode nine, it now seems unlikely ).

My only reasons behind why I didn’t five star this super enjoyable series, is that I feel some secrets were revealed too soon, or too many hints were provided. A lot of people I know predicted the show’s events from around episode four, so I was kind of expecting certain moments within the show. Also, the final “battle” just wasn’t as epic as I hoped it would be, but it was still really cool nevertheless.

WandaVision
was beyond refreshing, and so easy to watch. I would happily sit through three hour long episodes every week, without complaint whatsoever. The two final cutscenes were extremely intriguing, and have really gotten me, and most likely many of you, thinking the same question — where will the MCU go next?
