With what may in fact be one of the most emotionally compelling and draining films/film endings I have ever encountered, Call Me By Your Name does something to me that I haven't felt in so long from a movie. I've waited so long to watch it and had so many expectations that I didn't think would be fulfilled. As soon as the movie started flowing scene after scene, I sensed no worries and was completely immersed. Truly a mesmerizing and a sweat dripped fairy tale that oozes with passion and true love. The interactions are real. The locations, the eargasmic soundtrack, the sun drenched cinematography that I can't seem to get out of my head, and the polarizing screenplay and acting makes this film so powerful to the point where I feel so moved even after a crazy nights sleep after watching it. From the beginning to the end you know you're in for something spectacular, you can just tell from the opening credits. The costumes made my eyes water. I'll be dressing like all these characters every Summer from now on. So many brilliant scenes with so many brilliant choices directionally, this may be one of my favorite films I've seen in the last decade.
