I find myself not believing in romance or love as I get older and older and I feel like it’ll take a lot to convince my mental otherwise but both Licorice Pizza and Punch Drunk Love capture something so hopelessly romantic in me that I feel anything is possible. I just feel so warm and fuzzy and happy and giddy inside like how I felt when I was a kid. So very stupid and naive and I long so hard for feelings like this to pour out after I see a film. This 2nd viewing confirmed how truly special this movie is to me. It’s a lightening in a bottle magic act you can’t ignore even if you tried your damned hardest. 🍬🍕
