Directors Cut:
Florence Pugh as Dani Ardor will go down as one of the most prestigious performances I have seen in a horror film ever. Not only that, she’s a fucking angel in these newly added scenes. Her cries are harder, her motives are clearer. This cut cuts deeper wounds, this thing is sharper. It all felt even more complete. I actually really felt what Dani was feeling this time, truly without hesitation. I love just about everything that this film does and then some. I love seeing people’s reactions next to me, gasping and freaked the fuck out for the first time. It’s weird to say but I REALLY do love being transported to Härga for 3 hours. The final 10 minutes in a theater setting is a cinematic moment I cherish and that last frame will be indented in my brain cells till the day I die. Bravo, Ari Aster Br-fucking-vo man👏🏻👏🏻
