Mark Harrison’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lacking in any conventional sense of dread, this is arguably the dark comedy that apologists for the Wicker Man remake say that movie was trying to be. Is it disturbing? Yes. Funny? Also yes.
Florence Pugh is very much on the same train Toni Collette was for Hereditary (next year's Best Actress winner in our hearts) and the cast is rounded out with an exceptionally good selection of awful blokes.
Look, if it's meant to be played straight, the ending shows that Ari Aster has never seen an episode of Bo' Selecta.
