"I fucked up my whole life because of the way you sing"
Jesus Christ, this was tough to watch.
Another fantastic film from Linklater in the Before Trilogy - the style is the same both visually and narratively. Impressive long-takes, the chemistry and the dialogue is on-point and the acting is mesmerizing. I truly care for these characters. Which is why Before Midnight was somehow profoundly painful to watch, especially the hotel room scene which was some deeply, powerful stuff - I think I held my breath the entire scene. The ending, with the "letter", was truly rewarding and sweet.
My least favourite of the Trilogy, though Before Midnight is a remarkable film and a damn fine way to end (probably) the even more remarkable Before Trilogy.
