    Nobody Knows I'm Here

THIS MOVIE DESERVES TO BE WATCHED IN IT’S ORIGINAL LANGUAGE. Don’t get me wrong, I am forever thankful for subtitles because I’ve been trying to learn French for 3 years and I’m still no good, but sometimes a movie doesn’t have the same emotion when you let voice overs tell you the story. What We Do in the Shadows

This movie is so genuinely entertaining and so well written I just need you all to know that Taika’s left foot is more talented than even Shakespeare and I will fight anyone who disagrees. The humor is reminiscent of Portlandia or anything with Fred Armisen and I truly believe that the only thing that could make this movie better would be if Fred was in it.

    TW: Rape

In all actuality, this is one of the scariest movies I’ve seen because of the toxicity frightening male characters who objectify all the women in the movie. There are at least 3 rape scenes, and they’re the reason I couldn’t finish the movie. Utterly disturbing AND it gave me nightmares for more than a few days. Don’t watch if you’re sensitive to toxic masculinity, and definitely don’t watch if you’re a woman, it’s all too real. If you took out the ‘supernatural’ elements of the movie it would be incredibly real and arguably, even scarier.

A selection of heartbreaking hetero movies that couldn't even begin to compare to this:
Titanic, A Walk to Remember, Romeo and Juliet, If Beale Street Could Talk, The Fault in Our Stars, and last but not least The Notebook. That's right, I said it. This movie is better than The Notebook.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a sapphic movie of forbidden romance that can and will bring anyone with a soul to tears. It fills every craving and…
